I have spent this week working at Marlwood School in South Gloucestershire and PE Direct are excited about building stronger links with Marlwood and the Castle School Education Trust. Del Planter (pictured), the new Head Teacher has transformed the school.
The first thing I noticed was how well run the school was. Before I arrived, the Head of PE had emailed me detailed lessons plans. When I arrived, I was greeted by Amelia, the cover manager, who talked me through policies and procedures and then the Head of Pe who showed me around the department before going on a school trip to Italy.
What struck me most about teaching at Marlwood was the sense of well being among the staff and the pupils. Students were ready to learn but more importantly the whole school seemed happy and relaxed.
Pe Direct look forward to forging closer links with Marlwood and the Castle School Education Trust as we look to supply PE and ALN specialists in South Gloucestershire and Bristol.
