PE Direct is thrilled to announce the addition of seven newly qualified Physical Education (PE) teachers to South Wales schools this September. After successfully completing their Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) programs, these educators are ready to inspire and motivate students, bringing expertise and enthusiasm to South Wales physical education departments.
Several of these new teachers are familiar faces to PE Direct, having worked with us prior to pursuing their teaching qualifications. This continued collaboration underscores the strong relationship and mutual trust between our candidates and PE Direct, reflecting the effectiveness of our recruitment process.
Five of the seven new PE teachers have already secured positions in secondary schools across South Wales, set to start in September. All candidates will receive their Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in August, but they are eager to begin their education careers even sooner. In June and July, they will work as cover supervisors, providing crucial support to schools while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
PE Direct has a well-established track record of supporting candidates in securing positions prior, during, and after their PGCE programs. Our consistent success highlights the vital role specialist recruitment services play in matching educators with schools that can benefit from their skills and dedication.
Programme leader for the PGCE Secondary PE, Fiona Heath-Duffy said,
“It is clear that PE direct offer more than just work, as students are able to reference the additional training they received with regards to positive behaviour management, where they are taught how to de-escalate challenging situations, taking a trauma informed approach.”
If you are a newly qualified teacher looking for work, or if you are looking to build your skillset ahead of applying for a PGCE, contact PE Direct to discover how we can help you achieve your educational goals.
