PE Direct is delighted to announce that Sam Powell has secured a full-time placement as a teaching assistant at Pantside Primary School until the end of term.
Sam joined PE Direct in April 2024, bringing with him a strong background in sports coaching. He has four years of experience at Gower College, where he worked with students aged 3 to 11 years old. Additionally, he has been actively involved with his local rugby team, Dunvant RFC, further showcasing his commitment to youth development and sports education. Currently, Sam is in his second year of a BSc in Sport, PE, and Health at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Balancing his studies and professional aspirations, Sam began working as a PE cover supervisor within local secondary schools. His dedication and passion for education led him to take on a few days as a teaching assistant, a role he found thoroughly enjoyable.
With the completion of his academic year, Sam eagerly sought more opportunities and successfully secured a full-time position at Pantside Primary School. Reflecting on his experience, Sam shared, “Working at Pantside Primary has been an enjoyable and rewarding challenge, and I feel welcomed by both staff and students. I’m excited to continue working at Pantside and being part of this great community.”
Sam’s commitment to education will continue in September, when he returns to university for his final year. He plans to maintain his position at Pantside Primary School alongside his studies, demonstrating his dedication to both his academic and professional growth.
