We are delighted to welcome Jordan Lewis-Iles, who joined our team this summer after completing his MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Wales. With an impressive background that also includes a BSc in Psychology and a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Jordan has brought a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to his new role.
Over the summer, he registered with PE Direct and was quickly placed in a long-term, full-time position as a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant at Willows High School. Working within the school’s Additional Learning Needs (ALN) base, and he is already making a positive impact by supporting students with diverse educational needs and receiving fantastic feedback.
Though initially not part of his career plan, Jordan is finding his new role rewarding and filled with opportunities for professional growth. He brings a unique skill set, including his experience as an assistant kickboxing instructor, which adds to his ability to connect with students on multiple levels. Reflecting on his journey so far, Jordan said:
“Not long-ago PE Direct got in touch with me with an interesting role working as a Teaching Assistant. This area of work was never a plan of mine, but I’ve been settling in very well, and learning a lot of valuable transferable skills within the education sector. Despite some challenging days that push me to learn more about how children learn in the school environment, most days are enjoyable, and I am glad to be there as a part of the school community.”
We are very excited to see Jordan thrive in this role and contribute to the success of Willows High School. His passion for learning and commitment to supporting students with ALN is exactly what we strive for at PE Direct, and we look forward to following his progress in the months to come.
Well done Jordan and welcome to the PE Direct team!
