PE Direct is excited to celebrate the success of Harry, who joined us after completing his BTEC at Llanishen High School. Recommended by a teacher from Radyr Comprehensive School, Harry took on his first role with us which include a temporary three-week role with our sister company, AL Direct, at the Halo Centre, working with a group of boys with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who benefit from alternative educational settings.

During his placement, Harry provided support in literacy and numeracy each morning, followed by well-being and recreational activities in the afternoons. Although his role was short-term, his positive energy and dedication left a lasting impression on the students and staff.

Reflecting on his experience, Harry shared, “My time at the Halo Centre was brilliant. It gave me the experience to go off and work in other places with confidence. The students were brilliant and friendly. There couldn’t have been a better member of staff to work with. It was a great environment to work in. I had a very enjoyable couple of weeks there, it was a pleasure to work with Josh and the students.”

Josh, a teacher with AL Direct, also commented, “Harry was a great addition during the three weeks he covered; the kids really connected with him.”

At PE Direct, our mission is to connect dedicated professionals like Harry with opportunities to support vulnerable learners, fostering impactful educational experiences in supportive environments. We are thrilled to see Harry’s contributions making a difference.
